Many people will be starting a new blog this year online with the hopes of making money from home. There are plenty of tutorials on how to setup a blog and how to get paid to blog.

What is blogging? it mostly is a way for people to express themselves and to share stories. Some will use a blog to build a community of readers. It all depends on what your goal is for your blog to fully understand how to maximize your websites potential.

The most important part of blogging online is going to be the type of content you use. I spend time covering all the different methods available to you as a blogger for obtaining and using quality content.

You can choose from pre-written articles, to hiring a virtual assistant to help with creating relevant blog posts, or buying articles for sale from freelance writers. Or you can use software that can help you re-write and transcribe content already available on the web.

This is one of my favorite parts of being online, and it has to do with the fact that after many years of reading blogs and joining marketing newsletters I came across some interesting ways to make extra money and these are proven to work. The amount of moneythat you can make is often in small amounts but if you have a bill to pay or you want to have money to cover small expenses of running a website then you will like these ideas:

I wanted to say that the reality about working from home as a solo entrepreneur is that earning a full-time income that will replace your day job will take time to build. Your goal and mine is to have residual income from month to month. Some of us have the opportunity to run a business that generates daily income into our paypal or merchant account.

For those of us who are just starting out it is best to understand what proven methods are available for beginners. Here are some useful information that will be helpful for making "extra" money which could be enough to pay a bill or cover expenses for operating a website which can include marketing tools or other monthly subscriptions such as hosting, autoresponder or keyword planners.

All of these I have personally tried myself so I know they work.

1. Writing product reviews: This is probably on of the easiest and simpliest ways to generate commissions as an affiliate. Amazon affiliates is a great place to start because people buy products from Amazon everyday. How to get started you will want to sign up to promote products for eBay, Amazon, Clickbank, or JVzoo which is some of the more popular affiliate companies. You will basically give the pros and cons of a physical product or a digital ebook. Explain why it is a good purchase and then add your affiliate link to the ecommerce store, once the person buys you get paid it could take from 30 to 60 days before you receive money in paypal or payza.

2. Referral based marketing: This type of activity only requires that you share your link on social sites and places where there is lots of people such as forums. Your goal is to get people to sign-up to a website or to agree to recieve a newsletter and when they sign-up you get paid for it. The amount could be $1 dollar up to $5 dollars or more per person. Now with this type of referral marketing you don't have to get someone to buy anything in order to get paid, like you do with product reviews. Usually you will find this with PTC sites like Neobux or surveys.

3. Freelance work: With this type of work you will answer gigs found on the internet which will be requesting someone to write articles, or for someone to do computer code, translation or video creation. These types of projects or gigs are flat rate pay, you can set your rate and contract out your time or you can get paid once the work is finished. There are websites that hire freelancers and you can sign up and add your portfolio with samples of your ability. I think this is one of the best ways for newbies to get started making extra money online.

One thing I wanted to mention about affiliate marketing and writing product reviews, is that you can do it on free sites like: Weebly, Wix, Blogger or my favorite is Netboard.me. Also there are some article directories that still allow affiliate links in each article. These methods are proven strategies that work and just like with anything you must put in the effort to get results.

I have used opt-in pages and I have signed up with several lists and it is valuable to read interesting information that is helpful for improving our businesses especially if the marketer is a good teacher.

Many newbies don't realize the value of list building until later on in their internet career but it is the one thing many gurus have said if they could change anything it would be to start building a list of subscribers right away.

This can be done with a blog or website that is best for showcasing your talents.

So I would have to say that your best marketing tool is going to be having a website, blog or landing page to send leads who find your social profiles online, then you can capture them in your opt-in pages.
